Grant Hermes
Mr. Hermes is a native of Orange County and brings with him a background of business, accounting, and real estate to his legal practice. Mr. Hermes is an experienced business owner and trial attorney specializing in personal injury, business, and general litigation and handles every aspect of litigation from pre-litigation through trial and appeals.
After practicing civil litigation as the managing partner at Knypstra Hermes & Zermeno LLP in Newport Beach, Mr. Hermes decided to start his own practice and continues to devote the time and attention his clients deserve.
During his 8 years at Knypstra Hermes & Zermeno LLP, Mr. Hermes specialized in all aspects of civil litigation and personal injury, including automobile, cycling, and slip/trip and fall accidents where they were able to recover over $38 million in settlements for their clients, including personal injury results of:
- $10 million and $9 million in catastrophic injury cases
- $4.35 million in a medical malpractice case
- $2.3 million in a trip and fall case
- $1.35 million in an auto accident case
- $1 million in a wrongful death case
Mr. Hermes' business and accounting background, in addition to his years of litigation and preparing cases for trial, give him a unique ability to understand complex business transactions and effectively tailor his pleadings, discovery, and litigation plan to strategically maximize his client’s recovery or minimize risks and liabilities.
Mr. Hermes graduated from the University of California Santa Barbara in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics and Accounting. From there he worked as the accountant for a real estate company in Seattle, WA, managing the financials for large-scale homeowners associations and commercial properties and supporting the operations and management of the company. Mr. Hermes then received his Juris Doctorate from Whittier Law School in 2013 where he graduated summa cum laude, was the Executive Editor of the the Whittier Law Review, and received a Legal Writing Certificate. Mr. Hermes is licensed to practice law in the State of California; U.S. District Court, Central District of California; and U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit.
Mr. Hermes is also an avid cyclist, trail runner, backpacker, skier, and enjoys traveling with his family in their rad van.
